Electricity ain't cheap! Just last week, the California Public Utilities Commission voted unanimously to approve another PG&E hike. This amounts to about $6 more on an average bill a month. This is their 4th hike for 2024 alone!
PG&E claims the rate increase is needed to recoup electricity expenses paid during winter storms which brought widespread power outages. Meanwhile, PG&E announced its profits for 2023 surged to over $2.2 billion - a jump of almost 25 percent! Which seems fishy.
If you are under the PG&E power grid, consider some of the PG&E financial and rebate programs that could relieve your monthly bill. For example, if you have EV charging equipment in your home, you might be eligible for up to a $700 rebate!
See if you're eligible for any of the programs below!
