This project wasn't the only one that made news this week. Similar housing projects also came to the forefront in Los Gatos and Santa Clara. The Los Gatos Planning Commission recommended a 55-townhome development located on
15349-15367 Los Gatos Blvd (on the East side of Highway 17, across the street from Trader Joe's). The Santa Clara City Council gave its final approval to develop a 1,792-apartment community at
2518 Mission College Blvd (South of Great America and North of Pedro's and Birks restaurants). These projects and more like it won't be stopping anytime soon, as per State mandate, the Bay Area must plan for 441,176 new units between 2023 and 2031. Daaaaaanng, that's a heaping pile of housing!
