Santa Clara's Big Healthcare News!

If you live anywhere near Santa Clara, this is pretty big news!

Sutter Health just announced plans for a brand-new hospital right off Mission College Boulevard, not far from Levi’s Stadium. And when they say “big,” they really mean it.

The plans call for an eight-story, 850,000 square foot medical center with 272 beds, a full emergency department, intensive care, labor and delivery, and a wide range of specialized services, all in one place. The new hospital will replace the current office park at 2831 and 2841 Mission College Boulevard.

And that’s just part of the story.

Sutter is also building out another entirely new West Santa Clara medical campus made up of five buildings totaling about another 700,000 square feet. The campus will include cancer care, orthopedics and sports medicine, women’s health, heart and vascular care, and more. Some of these buildings are expected to open as early as 2027, with the hospital itself planned to open around 2031.

All of this puts Santa Clara on track to become one of the most advanced medical hubs in the Bay Area, a big win for local families and the entire South Bay community.
