Housing Market Updates! TAYLOR LAMBERT June 2, 2026
See the link at the end of this email for this week's buyer workshop, where we show you how to buy a home for less money and less stress!...
4,000 Google employees just got a brand-new office in San Jose.
Two weeks ago, Google officially opened Meadow Point in Alviso, right off North First Street. And this isn't some little office tucked into a business park. We're talking 10 buildings, nearly 850,000 square feet, which makes it Google's largest campus in San Jose.
But here's the part that caught my attention...
The people moving in aren't just random departments. These are many of the teams behind Google's biggest products, Search, Gmail, YouTube, and AI. In other words, thousands of highly paid tech employees showing up to work in North San Jose every day.
Love it or hate it, that's the kind of thing that can ripple through a housing market.
More employees. More demand for nearby housing. More people are grabbing lunch, shopping, and spending money locally. That's usually not bad news if you own real estate nearby.
And if you're house hunting in North San Jose, Alviso, Milpitas, Santa Clara, or surrounding areas, it's definitely something to keep on your radar. Major job centers have always been one of the biggest drivers of Silicon Valley real estate.
As a Realtor, I pay close attention to announcements like this because they often tell us where demand could be headed before the headlines catch up.
For perspective, 850,000 square feet is about the size of 15 Costco stores... or roughly 15 football fields under one roof.
So I'm curious...
Did you know this campus was opening this week? And do you think adding 4,000 Google employees to North San Jose will have any impact on the local housing market?
