Bay Area Christmas Events!

Here are some holiday events happening this week! Get out and enjoy the Christmas season! 

Its “Countdown to Glow” free kickoff event is scheduled for 6 p.m. December 5th, directly in front of the Ferry Building, and will be followed by an “After Glow” party with cookie decorating, a silent disco, and more. This will run for 10 nights, from December 5th to 14th, with the nation’s largest free holiday projection arts festival.

For more than 80 years, Alameda’s Thompson Avenue has transformed into “Christmas Tree Lane,” a beloved neighborhood tradition that feels lifted straight from a holiday movie. Every house participates; each displays a little differently! Available starting December 1st - December 31st. It starts on the 3200 block of Thompson Ave.

San Jose’s Beloved Holiday Tradition Since 1980. Experience the Christmas holiday magic with over 45 years of community tradition, featuring spectacular Christmas light displays and tons of family entertainment and dining. Available starting November 28th - January 1st.

If you prefer your lights viewed from the comfort of a warm car, Blinky’s Illuminated Holiday is your spot. This drive-through spectacle covers half a mile of tunnels, giant candy canes, animated displays, and synchronized music. Available starting November 29th - January 5th.

Over 4 acres of the historic Cow Palace in exhibition halls are magically transformed into the winding lanes and bustling playhouses of Victorian London! Immerse yourself in a world of holiday theatres, pubs, dance parties, and charming shops. Available starting November 22nd – December 21st

Each winter, the Filoli estate transforms into a glowing world of lights and old-world elegance. Twinkling pathways weave through the formal gardens, the mansion glitters with wreaths and garlands, and the scent of cider lingers in the crisp Woodside air. Available starting November 22nd - January 11th.

Christmas tree lighting and parade on Monterey Road, from Main to Fifth, with floats, cars, local clubs, youth sports teams, and even Santa himself! The event is on December 6th at 5:30 p.m., a parade kickoff, then the tree lighting happens at 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Dunne & Monterey.
