There's No Crying in Real Estate

TAYLOR LAMBERT September 3, 2025

Actually, turns out there IS crying in real estate! I was poking around the internet over the holiday weekend, reading some articles, and stumbled on this simple stat that made me a little bummed. According to a Zillow study, half of all homebuyers actually cry at least once during the process of searching and purchasing a home. Jeeeeezzzzzz. And if you’re younger, the odds go up to 65 percent of Gen Z buyers and 61 percent of Millennials who shed some tears along the way. Holy moly!

Why all the emotions? Buying a home is exciting, but it can also be stressful. Low inventory, competitive offers, financial pressure, and even the feeling of “falling in love” with a house that gets away can make the journey an emotional rollercoaster.

As a buyer agent, we can mitigate some of the unfortunate stuff along the way, but hey, I get it. It's a LOT buying a home!  A lot of everything, time, money, effort.  At 8 Blocks and the Taylor Lambert Group, we strive to make every buyer's experience as smooth as possible. At the end of the day, you need to feel good about the whole process. So if you or someone you know is thinking about making a move, let’s make sure the only tears shed are happy ones on closing day. We can teach you how, why, and when to buy, give you all the tips and tricks you'll need. Sit down with us for a 1-hour buyer workshop and you'll see the difference.

When we bought our first home, I definitely cried on closing day! lol
